Join Great Leap and JANM at The Huntington as part of the THIS LAND IS ... Community Festival, a celebration of 250 years of the collective co-creation of America.
Among the festivities, there will be 3 participatory workshops hosted by Great Leap in the Bon Odori (10:30 AM), Son Jarocho (11:30 AM), and West African Drum & Dance (12:30 PM) traditions. Nobuko Miyamoto's sweeping documentary, A Song in Movement, filmed by Tadashi Nakamura and Quyên Nguyen-Le, will screen at 1:30 PM, followed by Q & A, and from 3–4 PM, we will come together for a FandangObon.
Celebrate in the best way we know how — together in circle, surrounded by all ages and cultural backgrounds in collective joy. The festival includes the cost of admission to The Huntington — and is expected to sell out fast!
