Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal meant for someone else; you are the one getting burned.
- Buddha (c. 566-480 BC)

Yes, I’m angry
Angry at the injustices of this so-called great nation.
Angry at being made to feel
Like an outsider
In my own country
For almost 30 years.

Yes, I am angry.
But not bitter.

Because I refuse to LIVE angry.
Refuse to DIE angry.
Refuse to let anger burn me into nothing
But little pieces of ash
That blow away in the wind
Chased far away from
Home.
