Theater workshops for the community
Presented by Contemporary Asian Theatre Scene - CATS

Join us for a fun-filled adventure…creating a theater piece with stories about you and your "relations." Using theater games, movement, improvisation, story gathering sessions and more…you will have the chance to EXPRESS YOURSELF in your own unique way.

WORKSHOP DATES: October 6 through December 8, 2001

WORKSHOP TIMES: Saturdays 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm

WHERE: Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI),
2400 Moorpark Avenue, Suite 300, San Jose, CA 95128. The workshops will be in Room 111, Senior Center.

Hung Nguyen, former director of Club O’Noodles
Van Ma of San Khau Viet Cau

A part of Great Leap’s "To All Relations Project," Great Leap is gathering stories and creating theater pieces with diverse communities across the country…from San Jose, Watts and Phoenix to Detroit and Appalachia. Each project is unique to the communities involved, yet each explores the boundaries of our connectedness.

This residency will culminate on December 6, 7, 8, 2001 at MACLA in San Jose.


Contemporary Asian Theatre Scene (CATS) is a San Jose based, non-profit organization committed to presenting Asian Pacific American theatre arts in Silicon Valley, by providing high quality, contemporary, thought provoking, educational, and innovative programming which communicates Asian Pacific American experiences to all communities.
