ARTIST MENTORSHIP
COLLABORATORY is an artist mentorship program shares Great Leap’s legacy of unique creative processes with emerging artists and community members. Since 2005 each multi-week free program has trained up to 15 artists to collectively create a theater work with their personal stories. Under the direction of Dan Kwong and choreographer Young Ae Park, previous environmentally-themed shows created include: THE BLUE MARBLE, ORDER TO GO, CYCLES OF CHANGE. These were performed at locations such as The Electric Lodge in Venice, Baldwin Hills Scenic Outlook in Culver City, Japanese American National Museum (JANM) in Little Tokyo and MacArthur Park as part of CicLAvia.
