Touring information technical rider

Show title: A GRAIN OF SAND

Description: A multi-media, autobiographical, theater performance with NOBUKO MIYAMOTO

STAGE REQUIREMENTS
Approx. 30’ wide x 40’ deep with offstage wings for entrances and exits

RIGGING
Pipes for overhead electrics
Pipes for black legs, borders
Pipe for hanging 9' round screen, provided by artist. Screen is lightweight, approx. 5-8 lbs., hangs centerstage, usually from the third electric position. Screen is a 1" x 3" circular wood frame with muslin stretched across it for front screen projection. Projector sits 25-30 feet in front of screen.
Makita or like brand for assembling screen.
Black tie cord to hang screen.
Borders, legs, teasers and tormentors for a "clean look."
Platform, 4' x 4' with 12" legs to go upstage of the 9' round screen.
Black masking for front of platform.

LIGHTING REQUIREMENTS
14 - 6x12 Leko 750 W
17 - 6x16 Leko 1000 W
10 - 6" Fresnels with top hats
21 - 6" Fresnels with barndoors 750 W
5 - Par 64 1000W NSP
1 - 6' tall boom, to go upstage of the screen, approx. 15' from screen to hold three 6x12 750 W Lekos with gobos and color and
1 - 6" Fresnel
All cables, connectors, etc.
At least 36 dimmers and a lighting control board capable of addressing at least 112 channels
Gels and gobos

SOUND SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Power amp - 200 watts per channel
Mixing console, 8 inputs, with reverb
Full range speaker cabinets (2)
Stage monitors (2)
Mini disk playback (preferred) or stereo cassette deck, double well
Small TV monitor to cue video tapes
Stand for video projector and VCR, to be placed in the auditorium
Video projector (1) & connector cables (Eiki, single gun)**
VCR (Sony, stereo)**

INTERCOM
3 professional quality headsets
Intercommunication system (i.e. Clear-com)

PROPS
Straight back plain chair - prop for show.

SAND - approximately 2 quarts of dry sand that can be purchased from a garden supply store or pet store. Artist will strike two matches on stage during performance that are quickly extinguished in sand.

SCHEDULE
At least 5-6 hours prior to show are needed for tech: focus lights, build light cues, sound check, and cue-to-cue rehearsal.
Dressing rooms or equivalent type of accommodation is needed for artist to change and prepare. Please provide iron and ironing board.
Please provide drinking water, hot tea and fresh fruit.
