One of the most important aspects of Collab is the community field trips. On one trip, Ruben Guevara led a tour through East LA. Here, the mentees were introduced to the historic murals at the Pico Aliso Housing Projects.

John Outterbridge gave us an amazing tour of his studio as well as a deep look into his art and community.

Francis & Omowale Awe gave the mentees a great workshop on African drumming and dance.

The mentees also got to eat some of the amazing foods within the communities they visited... mmmm!

Nobuko led the mentees through various movement excercises as partof their training.
